WHISPERS IN THE DARK
If the skies could hear me, and the waves at night could listen to my whispers, I would ask for nothing but time.
I’d appreciate having a very long night, with a moment when my imagination comes alive. A night where just a stare brings a reflection of moments so dear, and even my heart gets to bear.
A night where the windows or a four-walled building won’t have to block the sight of a clear sky. Where I could look above and simply marvel at the vastness of everything beyond me.
I would sit, with music plugged in my ears, and let my mind wander off into places that reality has never allowed me to visit. Places where dreams feel close enough to touch and possibilities have no boundaries.
A night quiet enough for my thoughts to breathe and enough for me to hear and understand each heartbeat. A night where I could listen to myself, without the interruption of expectations and the noise that comes with living, every day.
A night where I’d feel less confined, less concerned, and less burdened by the noise of everything around me, but instead enjoy the beauty of nature.
Just one long night, where it’d no longer be a fairytale, but a “Theodore reality.”
