FORTUNE AT LAST.
poem

FORTUNE AT LAST.

FORTUNE AT LAST

Fortune at last,

not as a sudden knock upon the door,

but as the reward of feet

that kept moving when the road was sore.

Bliss for the road,

for every mile that almost broke the will,

for every silent night of waiting,

for every dream that learned to breathe still.

The making in time

has brought a glamour I cannot explain;

what once looked like unfinished clay

now carries beauty born from pain.

There were days the road seemed far too long,

but time was not my enemy,

it was teaching my weakness to become strong. 💯💯

And now, fortune at last,

I see the harvest in the seed.

The patience became a pathway,

and the waiting became what I needed.

Bliss for the road,

not because every step was bright,

but because even through the darkness,

I was learning how to recognize the light. ✨✨

The making took time,

but time was making me too.

It carved patience into my spirit

and gave my old dreams something new.

So let the road remember

every tear it made me hide.

Let the journey wear its scars

like medals I no longer need to hide.

Fortune at last.

Bliss for the road.

And if this is the glamour

that time has made of me,

then let me walk forward,

grateful for the making,

ready for the glory still to be.
