WHO ARE YOU?
No, I’m not asking about your age, your job title, your certificates, or how many followers you have. I’m asking about your _weight_ in this world. When your name is mentioned in a room you’re not in, what do people say? When your story is told 10 years from now, what chapter will matter? This is the question most of us run from, because the answer forces us to face the truth.
Your relevance is not measured by what you own. It’s measured by what happens to people _because_ of you. What is your relevance in people's lives and in society at large? Did you make someone’s mental health lighter? Did you teach someone how to earn better? Did you pray with someone when their faith was dying? Society doesn’t remember people for the cars they drove. Society remembers the lives they changed. A nation, a community, a family can bless the day you were born only if your presence made their burden lighter.
But let’s be honest. Some of us are still cheating. Still deceiving colleagues. Still cutting corners. Still pursuing mundane things that give temporary clout but zero legacy. We wake up, chase money, chase validation, chase the next trend... and go to bed with nothing to show for it except more followers and more emptiness. We are living our lives by chance. No mission. No vision. No "why". And when you live without purpose, you become a consumer of life instead of a contributor to it.
Here’s the painful truth: if nobody’s mental, emotional, financial, or spiritual growth can be credited to you, then you are invisible. Your achievements may look good on paper, but they are hollow. Nobody’s success can be traced back to your hands. Nobody can point and say, “I’m here because of her. I’m better because of him.” OH NO. Regardless of your degrees, your business, your titles... you are living a wasted life already. A life without impact is a life on rent. You’re just occupying space.
And the cruelest part? Your age is increasing, but your value isn’t. The years are stacking up, but your influence is flat. You’re getting older, but not better. You’re getting busier, but not deeper. That’s the silent tragedy of our generation. We confuse movement with progress. We confuse noise with significance. But deep down, your spirit knows. That restlessness you feel at night? That’s your purpose knocking.
PLEASE WAKE UP.
Wake up from the illusion that you have all the time in the world. Wake up from the trap of comparing your behind-the-scenes to everyone’s highlight reel. Wake up from the lie that you’re too small to matter.
DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE. Not who Instagram says you should be. Not who your parents wanted you to be. Who _you_ were created to be. What problem were you born to solve? Who were you born to lift? What fire is in you that the world needs?
So I’ll ask you again: Whose life have you impacted and changed for good? Start with one person. Mentor one person. Feed one person. Teach one person. Build one thing that outlives you. Because at the end, the only question that will matter is this: Did you leave this place better than you met it?
Don’t let your story end as “He lived. He worked. He died.” Let it end as “He lived. He served. He changed lives. And the world is better because he was here.”
The time is now. Wake up. Discover who you are.
