My Life Is Like a Spirogyra
My life is like a spirogyra
long,
green with hope,
and tangled in ways
I never planned.
I keep growing,
but not in straight lines.
I twist around memories,
coil myself around mistakes,
and somehow find a way
to keep going.
Every cell holds a story.
Some carry laughter,
some carry wounds,
some carry things
I pretend I have forgotten.
And just like spirogyra,
I have learned that growing
doesn't always mean
moving forward.
Sometimes,
it means stretching
through the same water,
meeting the same currents,
fighting the same pull
and still becoming
something new.
There are days
I feel like I am going nowhere,
just floating,
turning in circles,
waiting for life
to make sense.
But maybe circles
are not always a sign
that I am lost.
Maybe they are proof
that I am still becoming.
Because even in muddy water,
something can grow.
Even when everything feels tangled,
life can still find a way
to multiply.
So yes,
my life is like a spirogyra.
Complicated.
Twisted.
A little messy.
But alive.
And perhaps
that is enough for now
to keep growing
even when I don't know
where the current
is taking me.
