COMMITMENT IS KEY IN ACHIEVING GOALS

Every December,

every new month,

sometimes even every Monday.

I set goals.

I write them down.

I make the list.

I imagine the new version of me.

“This time, I’ll be consistent.”

“This time, I’ll take my studies seriously.”

“This time, I’ll save money.”

“This time, I’ll learn that skill.”

“This time, I’ll stop procrastinating.”

And honestly?

The goals are beautiful.

The plans are beautiful.

The vision is beautiful.

But then...

life happens.

I get tired.

I get distracted.

I overthink.

I lose motivation.

And suddenly,

the beautiful list I wrote

starts looking at me

like,

“So... are we actually doing this?”

And that is when I realized something.

Sometimes,

the problem is not that we don't know

what we want.

We know.

We know exactly what we want.

The problem is that

we keep postponing the decision

to become the person

who can have it.

We want better results

without making different decisions.

We want a different life

while repeatedly choosing

the same habits.

We want growth

but keep negotiating with comfort.

We say,

“I want to change.”

But deep down,

we are still asking,

“Can I change

without becoming uncomfortable?”

And the answer is...

probably not.

Because every meaningful change

comes with a decision.

A decision to wake up

when you would rather sleep.

A decision to study

when your phone is calling.

A decision to save

when you want to spend.

A decision to walk away

when staying feels easier.

A decision to start

even when you are not sure

you are ready.

You don't always need

a new goal.

Sometimes,

you need a new decision.

A decision that says,

“I am done negotiating

with the version of me

that keeps holding me back.”

Because a goal says,

“I want this.”

But a decision says,

“I am willing to do

what this requires.”

And that changes everything.

So yes,

set your goals.

Make your vision board.

Write the plans.

Dream big.

But after writing them,

ask yourself one uncomfortable question:

“What am I actually willing to decide?”

Because your life can change

with one decision.

One “yes.”

One “no.”

One beginning.

One ending.

One moment where you finally say,

“Enough.

I am choosing differently.”

And maybe,

that is where the real transformation begins.

Not when you write the goal.

But when you decide

to become committed to it.

It's not enough to have desires,

It's more important to be committed to it

A man doesn't becomes successful because he desires it

A goal is not achieved because it is desired

It is achieved because it is intentionally worked upon

I Desire

I Dream

I set goals

But beyond that

I am intentional about them

I work them out

I am committed to them

And I see the result.
