Some women are not looking for a husband. They are looking for a financial rescue plan.
general

Some women are not looking for a husband. They are looking for a financial rescue plan.

We need to have this conversation too.

Because while some women are demanding that men become better husbands, providers, protectors, leaders, and emotionally available partners, some women have also forgotten to ask themselves:

“What exactly am I bringing into this marriage?”

You want a man who is financially stable.

Fair.

But are you financially responsible yourself?

You want a man who will support your dreams.

Beautiful.

But are you willing to support his dreams too?

You want a man who will pay the bills.

Okay.

But when you have the ability to contribute, are you willing to do so?

You want a man who will protect you, provide for you, and make your life comfortable.

But what are you doing to make his life better?

Because marriage is not supposed to be a one-sided arrangement where one person constantly gives while the other constantly receives.

It should not always be:

“He should provide.”

“He should pay.”

“He should take care of me.”

“He should fund my lifestyle.”

“He should solve my problems.”

At some point, you also need to ask:

“What does my husband gain from having me as his wife?”

And before somebody gets angry, this is not saying a woman must earn the same amount as her husband.

No.

People have different opportunities, responsibilities, careers, and circumstances.

Contribution is not always measured in money.

Your character matters.

Your emotional maturity matters.

Your support matters.

Your loyalty matters.

Your ability to communicate matters.

Your willingness to build a peaceful and healthy home matters.

Your ability to stand beside your partner when life becomes difficult matters.

And yes, your financial responsibility matters too when you have the capacity.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a financially responsible husband.

But it becomes unfair when you demand financial responsibility from your partner while refusing to develop it yourself.

Some women want a man with ambition while having no ambition of their own.

They want a man with goals while having no goals themselves.

They want a man who has built himself from nothing while expecting marriage to become their personal upgrade package.

Marriage is not a rehabilitation centre.

Your husband is not your father.

He is not your ATM.

He is not your personal bank.

And he should not be expected to carry every responsibility simply because he is the man.

The same principle applies to men.

Women also deserve partners who contribute, support, and add value to their lives.

Marriage works best when both people understand that they are building something together.

So ladies, have standards.

Absolutely.

Know what you want.

Know the kind of man you want to marry.

Wanting a responsible, hardworking, ambitious, and financially stable man is not wrong.

But while you are writing your list of everything your future husband must provide, write another list too.

What exactly are you prepared to provide?

Not just financially.

As a woman.

As a partner.

As a friend.

As a future mother, if you choose motherhood.

As a person.

Ask yourself whether you are becoming someone who can build a healthy marriage, not simply someone waiting to benefit from one.

Because wanting a high-quality man is perfectly reasonable.

But becoming a high-quality woman should be part of the plan too.

Don't make marriage the place where you finally start becoming the person you should have been working on before marriage.

Build yourself.

Develop your character.

Learn useful skills.

Become financially responsible.

Pursue meaningful goals.

Learn how to communicate.

Learn how to support someone without losing yourself.

Become capable of contributing to the life you want to build.

Because marriage should not be about finding someone to rescue you from life.

It should be about two people choosing to build a better life together.
