I walk along the road to tomorrow,
Abandoning the anguish and grief.
It may take you a winding road a long way,
But a song I have in my heart.
Each step I take, each mile I cross,
Teaches me lessons from every loss.
The road is bumpy, the hills are steep,
But I am a man of my word, though.
But tomorrow awaits what is to come,
Better days ahead.
Although clouds may gather in the sky,
I'll keep on going, I'll keep on trying.
There are times, maybe, Maybe,
When fear says, “You can't do everything.
But I will arise and defend myself in the battle,
For in darkness they found light and in the shadow of a cloudy day, brightness has appeared.
The way to the future is not always obvious,
At times filled with doubt and fear.
But courage will guide me through the night,
Hope is what will bring me the light.
I can't see what is coming next,
Or where the road will eventually end up.
But I will walk the path I will select,
Never let my dreams deplete.
For tomorrow is a brand new page,
An opportunity to develop, to envision, to evolve.
If faith and courage, I will go forward
Walking in a manly way to my tomorrow.
