From Enemies to Lovers
Chapter One: The Beginning of Everything
Amara never believed that love could grow from hatred until she met Daniel, the most arrogant boy in her university. He was handsome, intelligent, and wealthy, but his pride made him impossible to tolerate.
Their first meeting was a disaster.
Amara was rushing to class when Daniel accidentally bumped into her, scattering her books across the floor.
"Are you blind?" she shouted angrily.
Daniel smirked. "Maybe you should learn how to walk properly."
"You're the most annoying person I've ever met!"
"And you're the loudest girl I've ever encountered."
From that moment, they became enemies.
They argued over everything, from classroom assignments to simple misunderstandings. Their classmates even started calling them the university's most famous enemies.
One Monday morning, their lecturer announced a group project.
"Amara and Daniel, you will work together."
"What?" they both exclaimed.
"Sir, please, anyone but him!" Amara protested.
Daniel folded his arms. "Trust me, sir. I feel exactly the same way."
Their lecturer refused to change his decision.
Their first meetings were filled with arguments. However, as the days passed, Amara began noticing things about Daniel she had never seen before.
He helped struggling students without expecting anything in return. He stayed late in the library and secretly supported a classmate who couldn't afford textbooks.
Daniel also discovered that beneath Amara's stubborn personality was a kindhearted girl who always put others first.
One rainy evening, Amara stood outside the library, waiting for the rain to stop.
"Come on," Daniel said, holding out his umbrella.
She looked surprised. "Since when did you become nice?"
"Don't make me regret this."
She laughed, and for the first time, Daniel smiled genuinely.
As they walked together, something changed between them.
Days later, Daniel realized he was falling for the one girl he had promised himself never to like.
He loved her smile, her confidence, and the way she spoke passionately about her dreams.
But Amara was afraid. She had heard rumors that Daniel was only playing with her feelings.
One afternoon, she confronted him.
"Why are you suddenly acting like you care about me?"
Daniel looked directly into her eyes.
"Because I do, Amara. Somewhere between all our arguments, I fell in love with you."
Her heart raced.
"Daniel, don't play with me."
"I'm serious. I know we started as enemies, but I don't want us to end as strangers."
Amara remained silent for a moment before smiling.
"Then maybe we should give this a chance."
Daniel smiled with relief.
He gently held her hand, and she allowed him to.
Neither knew what the future held, but they were willing to discover it together.
And just like that, two people who once couldn't stand each other began writing a love story neither had ever imagined. Daniel gently held her hand, and for a moment, the world seemed to disappear around them.
But just as Amara was about to confess that she was beginning to fall for him too, a voice interrupted them.
"Daniel?"
They both turned.
Standing a few feet away was a beautiful girl with tears in her eyes.
Amara slowly withdrew her hand from Daniel's.
"Who is she?" she whispered.
Daniel's smile disappeared.
"Amara, I can explain."
The girl stepped closer, staring directly at Amara.
"You should know something about him before you fall any deeper."
Amara's heart sank.
And suddenly, she wondered whether falling in love with her enemy had been the biggest mistake of her life.
