A new day has come, the night is far gone.
Darkness shall not be there anymore; it shall no longer be seen.
Bright morning light comes in the morn,
Say in a quiet voice, “Everything will be ok.”
Yesterday was a day of sadness and suffering,
Times of grief, failure and rain.
But today's is a day to stand.
To hope once again and trust in God’s hand.
A new day has come, with dreams to pursue,
Opportunities to initiate and initiate new ideas or activities.
Errors of the past are not going to stop me,
Grace has taken the place of all the tears and scowls.
The sun is rising slowly in the sky,
Remembering my heart that it still can fly.
Although the path might not be obvious,
I will walk in faith, unafraid.
A new day has dawned, and hope is alive,
A cause for a smile, a cause to strive.
The doors which were closed may open today,
And blessings may come in a wonderful way.
So I kiss yesterday goodbye,
