Under the earth he rolls himself,He rolls himself under the earth he goes.
Where darkness is, there is no light,
Keeping his hands steady and a heart of steel,
He digs daily and there he plays his role.
The tunnel is small and the way is long,
But in his heart his courage increases.
Every blow of his big tool,
He recalls golden dreams he has.
sweat on his brow and dust on his face,
He continues his work, after which he questions his way,
One day a brighter future may yet shine.
From the significant precious stones he is hoping to discover.
He listens to the rocks that resonate under him,
But his courage will not be summoned back in any way.
Although there's danger down below,
His resolve is strong.
He longs for a house, a life made bright,
A better tomorrow than tonight.
For each stone that he uncovers
Depicts hope and a future.
When others say, “The task is hard,”
To him, challenges are a reward.
He understands that success is never easy;
It requires perseverance, courage and faith.
So courageously he goes now into the deep,
Doing what he ought to do.
The determined miner will never retire
From pursuing his dreams in sweat and fire.
Under the earth, where shadows are always,
He is searching for the good of hope and a better day.
Though his road may be hard,Although his path may be difficult,
His heart is resolved and will never fail.
