So far away, above the earth,
The moon may be seen at night and during the day.
In boundless room, a tranquil orb,
With no living being to leave a mark.
Its ground is not trod on.
No happy noises, no birds, are heard,
No rivers flow, and no trees rise,
There are no blossoming flowers or growing grasses.
Its surface glistens under the light.
I watched the ground through the night.
Below it glow our towns,
Maintaining secrets that no one knows.
No children giggle under its heaven,
There are no clouds floating gently way up there,
There is no light rain falling down.
But when seen from afar, the moon appears luminous,
In the velvet night, a lonely lamp.
It reminds us of the earth's blessings,
The remainder of nature and the creatures that live there.
We consume the rain, and we breathe the air.
Again, we are walking in the sunshine.
Occasionally, we miss seeing it.
The land underneath us, which is a treasure.
So as the moon brightens the heavens,
And high overhead, silver stars are glistening.
Let us keep in mind as we journey,
Our precious, live house is Planet Earth.
Because the moon is lovely and brilliant,
Its light contains no life.
However, you and I own our lives.
