DEALERS PART 2

DEALERS

Part 2

Kelvin wondered how Johnson could betray him so badly. He made up his mind that he would never have anything to do with Johnson again.

A few moments later, Kelvin received a phone call.

“Who is this?” he asked angrily.

“It’s me, Johnson,” came the reply.

Kelvin became furious.

“Johnson, are you kidding me? You asked me for help, and I helped you. Later, you received the money, but you didn’t even bother to tell me anything. What kind of friend are you? Never call my number again!”

Johnson tried to explain himself, but Kelvin refused to give him a chance.

Johnson felt terrible. How could he explain to Kelvin that the big company that had given him the job was actually a scam company? He was afraid to face Kelvin because he knew how angry he would be.

Johnson kept calling, but Kelvin refused to answer.

After some time, Kelvin said to himself, “Let me at least hear what he has to say.”

He picked up his phone and answered the call.

“Hello, I’m listening, but don’t waste my time.”

Johnson explained everything that had happened, but Kelvin still refused to believe him.

“Wow, Johnson! You must think I’m a fool. I never begged you to give me the money. You were free to spend it however you wanted. You were the one who introduced this business to me in the first place!”

Johnson was speechless. He struggled to find the right words to convince Kelvin that he was telling the truth.

Later that evening, Kelvin lay on his bed and switched on the television. Suddenly, a news report caught his attention. It was about the very company Johnson had told him about.

Kelvin sat up in shock and listened carefully to the report. The company had been exposed as a scam, and its victims had lost their money.

He immediately picked up his phone and called Johnson.

“Johnson, why didn’t you tell me about this earlier?” Kelvin asked.

Johnson sighed.

“I told you, bro, but you refused to believe me.”

“Wow! I can’t believe this!” Kelvin exclaimed.

After their conversation, both friends realized how important it was to verify any company's legitimacy before accepting a job or investing their time and money.

Eventually, Johnson returned abroad. Before leaving, he made sure to send some money to Kelvin as compensation for the time and effort Kelvin had wasted working on the contract, unaware that the company was fraudulent.

Although their experience had been painful, it taught them an important lesson: Never trust a business opportunity without verifying that it is legitimate.
