In life, each and every one of us needs someone to believe in us, to encourage us, to show us our potentials. Sometimes it's a friend, a parent, a mentor or a stranger who says just the right word at just the right time. But there is one promoter whose influence is greater than human. God is that promoter.
God is the ultimate promoter, He can put an ordinary person in an extraordinary place. He can open doors that no human can close, and he can make opportunities which no one ever could have thought of. When people overlook you, God sees you. If you are rejected by others, God will make his choice. God does see all of your efforts when they appear to be overlooked.
Many give up because they are expecting to be recognized by others. They are industrious, but are not applauded. Have dreams, but no one backs them up. They have talents, but nobody gives them an opportunity to display them. But your destiny is not just to be determined by human approval. But at times, God lets people overlook you, so that you learn that all your promotions are from Him.
The story of David is a great example of this. David was the youngest of his brothers and when Samuel went to Jesse's house to anoint him as king, David was not even thought of as a first choice. Out in the fields looking after the flocks. But God had predestined him. God saw a king when He saw a shepherd boy.
This is why God is the greatest promoter. He does not judge you by your current position. He is able to see in you what you can be. He knows what the future holds within you.
Your current season will sometimes appear to be an insignificant season. You might be working in silence, learning, struggling, praying and waiting. Just because no one is paying attention, don't think no one cares. God may be calling you to do more.
Promotions from God may not always arrive in days, but when they do, they have purpose. The ones who didn't acknowledge your efforts are the ones who will see you transformed one day. Where you were turned down can be a testimony of how far you've come.
Therefore, keep working. Keep learning. Keep praying. Keep improving yourself. Don't expend any energy to prove to others how valuable you are. You're not responsible for the outcome but you are responsible to be faithful.
Keep in mind that God doesn't need to ask anyone's permission to promote you. He can bring you out of the dark into the light, out of the rejection into the acceptance, out of the limitation into the opportunity.
So if people don't believe in you, believe that God does. If you are not celebrated, remember that Heaven knows your name. If the door is closed in your face, continue to get ready, for the One who opens doors can open a better door.
God can be your promoter, as well as your creator. Have faith in His timing, be faithful in your preparation and don't reject small beginnings.
Your promotion may be postponed, but it's not forgotten. The Ultimate Promoter will know just when and where to lift you.
