The Rainfall
The clouds gather slowly, dressed in shades of grey,
While gentle winds chase the heat away.
The sky grows dark, yet the earth waits still,
For nature’s music to roll down the hill.
Then comes a whisper upon the roof,
A gentle rhythm, steady and smooth.
Drop after drop begins to fall,
Answering the thirsty earth’s silent call.
The rainfall dances upon the leaves,
Washing the dust from branches and trees.
It fills the streams and softens the ground,
While little pools of water gather around.
Farmers look upward with grateful eyes,
As silver curtains descend from the skies.
Seeds buried deep begin to awake,
And green little shoots through the soil break.
Children watch from windows with delight,
As rain transforms the world in sight.
The streets may glisten, the rooftops shine,
And every drop seems perfectly timed.
But rainfall carries a lesson too:
Nothing remains unchanged forever.
After the dryness comes refreshing rain,
After the hardship, hope can rise again.
When the storm has finally passed away,
The clouds retreat and reveal the day.
The sun returns with a gentle glow,
And brighter landscapes begin to show.
So let the rainfall remind us each day
That life has seasons along its way.
When moments feel dry and hope seems small,
Remember—the rain will eventually fall.
And when the earth is refreshed and new,
We may discover what patience can do.
For every storm that crosses our way
Can prepare the ground for a brighter day.
