Chapter One: The Village at the Edge of the Forest
Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom called Eldoria, there lived a young girl named Elara. She had long, dark hair, bright eyes, and a heart full of dreams.
Elara lived with her grandmother in a small wooden cottage at the edge of an enchanted forest. Her grandmother was a kind woman who made herbal medicines and told wonderful stories about magical creatures, forgotten kingdoms, and stars that could grant wishes.
Every night, Elara would sit beside the window and watch the stars glitter across the sky.
"Grandmother," she asked one evening, "do you think there is a place beyond those stars where dreams come true?"
Her grandmother smiled and brushed a strand of hair from Elara's face.
"Of course, my child. But the greatest magic is not found in the stars. It is found in the courage to follow your heart."
Elara did not fully understand those words, but she remembered them.
Life in the village was peaceful, although Elara often felt that something extraordinary was waiting for her beyond the familiar hills.
She dreamed of travelling to distant lands, meeting magical creatures, and discovering the secrets hidden inside the forest.
But everyone in the village warned her to stay away from it.
They said the forest was dangerous. Strange lights appeared between the trees at night, mysterious voices echoed through the darkness, and travellers who entered too deeply sometimes returned unable to explain what they had seen.
Elara was curious, but she was not foolish.
She stayed away—until the night the stars disappeared.
Chapter Two: The Night Without Stars
It happened on the eve of the kingdom's annual festival.
The villagers had decorated their homes with lanterns, musicians were preparing their instruments, and children ran through the streets excitedly.
Then, just as the sun disappeared, the sky turned an unnatural shade of purple.
One by one, the stars vanished.
The moon became pale, and a cold wind swept through the village. Every lantern went out at once.
People screamed and rushed into their homes.
From the palace, a deep bell rang three times.
The next morning, the king made an announcement.
"For centuries, the stars have protected our kingdom. Now their light has disappeared, and our land is falling under a terrible darkness. According to an ancient prophecy, only someone with a brave heart and a selfless spirit can restore the light."
The king promised a great reward to anyone who could discover the cause.
Many knights volunteered, carrying swords and shining armour. Powerful magicians offered their services. Wealthy merchants promised gold to whoever could solve the mystery.
But days passed, and nobody returned with an answer.
Meanwhile, the darkness began to affect the kingdom. Flowers stopped blooming, rivers grew strangely quiet, and the once-colourful fields turned grey.
One evening, Elara noticed something unusual outside her window.
A tiny golden light was floating above the grass.
She stepped outside and watched it move towards the forest.
The light stopped and hovered in front of her.
Then, to her astonishment, it spoke.
"Elara, the kingdom needs your help."
Elara stepped backwards.
"How do you know my name?"
"Because the stars have been watching you."
The little light spun in the air, leaving a trail of golden sparkles.
"My name is Lumi. I am a star guardian. The light of your kingdom has been stolen by the Shadow Queen, who lives in the kingdom beyond the stars. If the stolen light is not returned before the last silver flower closes, darkness will cover Eldoria forever."
Elara swallowed nervously.
"Why me?"
"Because you possess something the Shadow Queen cannot understand."
"What?"
"A heart that can remain kind even when the world becomes frightening."
Elara thought about her grandmother's words.
Then she took a deep breath.
"Show me the way."
