LOUD THOUGHTS

LOUD THOUGHTS

Voices in my head,

They keep getting loud.

They snarl,

They howl,

They scream until I can no longer hear myself think.

You are a failure.

Nobody wants you.

Nobody needs you.

Everybody will leave you.

Death is the best way.

Living is worthless.

All the time,

I hear these words.

They haunt me.

Their laughter,

Their deep voices,

The anger in their eyes.

I see them.

I feel them.

I live with them.

They won't leave.

They won't even stop talking.

They follow me into silence,

They find me in my dreams,

Turning every little happiness

Into something that never seems

To belong to me.

I try to drown them in laughter,

Pretend their words don't hurt,

But beneath the smile I wear,

I'm falling apart, piece by piece.

How do I silence what won't be quiet?

How do I escape what lives within?

How do I fight a war in my mind

When I no longer know where to begin?

Please, give me a break.

Just one moment of peace,

One breath without their cruelty,

One night when the noise will cease.

I'm tired of fighting,

Tired of pretending I'm strong.

Tired of wondering what I did wrong.

Please, just let me breathe.

I'm on my knees.

I’m a young writer who finds beauty in turning emotions into words. I write about love, heartbreak, nostalgia, healing, and the quiet battles we rarely speak about. Through poetry and storytelling, I explore the beautiful mess of being human—one thought, one feeling, and one word at a time. Writing is my way of giving a voice to the things that are difficult to say aloud. If my words make you feel seen, remembered, or understood, then they have done what I hoped they would.
