Finally, Finally!

FINALLY, FINALLY! SEVEN YEARS OF WAITING, BUT GOD DID IT! πŸ₯ΉπŸŽ“

So finally, finally! Somebody say finally, finally! πŸ˜‚πŸ₯³

Well, maybe it's all God's timing and everything, but honestly, I still can't believe I'm finally here. Like, after everything, after all the delays, disappointments, waiting, and moments when I wondered when this whole university journey would finally come to an end, I can proudly say that I AM SIGNING OUT!

Kai! What God cannot do does not exist o! 🀭

Let me take you back to where it all began.

I got admitted into my higher institution to study Glass and Silicate Technology. I know some of you might not be familiar with the course, but yes o, that was my course! πŸ˜‚

The joy that came with receiving that admission was something else. You know that feeling when you finally see your admission and realize that you're about to become a university student? Ahhh! University things! Na that kind of happiness I experienced. I'm sure many of you can relate. The excitement was just too much. I was ready for the whole university experience, the lectures, meeting new people, and everything that came with being a student.

Since it was a federal institution and the school wasn't in my state, my mum advised that we travel early. And who was I to say no? πŸ˜‚ With all the excitement inside me, I was more than ready to go. I travelled with two of my cousins, and finally, the school resumed.

The main school things began, and I thought, "Okay, this is it! Let the journey begin!"

Little did I know that my university journey was going to be a whole different story entirely.

As God would have it, my journey became delayed, distracted, interrupted, and honestly, you can give it any name you like. 😭

First, COVID-19 happened. Just imagine! When it was finally my turn to enjoy university life, COVID-19 decided to show up. And as if that wasn't enough, strikes followed. One thing after another, the journey kept getting longer.

A course that was supposed to take five years started stretching into seven years. SEVEN YEARS! We used 2years of 100lvl and 2years again for 200lvl πŸ˜ͺCan you imagine that? 😭

Honestly, it wasn't beans at all.

Do you know what it feels like to watch people you graduated from secondary school with already moving ahead in life while you're still trying to finish your own journey? They were already approaching graduation, some were signing out, and some were even wearing their NYSC outfits.

And me? I was still in university o! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Don't get me wrong, I was genuinely happy for them. I celebrated them, congratulated them, and wished them well. But at the same time, I won't lie, it wasn't always easy.

Sometimes, I would look at everything happening around me and wonder, "When will it finally be my turn?"

Imagine congratulating people you thought you would graduate before, only to realize that they're already moving into another phase of life while you're still attending lectures. Chai! It wasn't easy.

And then there were those moments when I went back home, and people would ask, "Ah-ah, you're still in that your school?" πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Omo! You people should allow me to breathe abeg! Do you think I enjoy staying there forever? πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

But through it all, God kept me.

There were delays, but I kept going. There were interruptions, but the journey didn't end there. And even when things weren't happening the way I expected, somehow, I continued moving forward.

Now look at me!

I AM SIGNING OUT ON MONDAY, THE 21ST OF SEPTEMBER! πŸ₯³πŸŽ“

Like, finally! FINALLY!

From 2 January 2019 to 21 September 2026, that is 7 years, 8 months, 19 days β€” or 403 weeks and 5 days, which is 2,825 days, 67,800 hours, 4,068,000 minutes, and 244,080,000 seconds.

After all these years, I can finally close this chapter. I can finally look back at everything and say, "God really brought me through."

From the excitement of gaining admission to the unexpected delays, from COVID-19 to strikes, from watching my mates graduate to finally reaching my own finishing line, this journey has taught me that sometimes life doesn't happen according to our own timetable.

And honestly, God's timing may not always look like what we planned, but I am grateful that I made it here.

Seven years isn't beans o! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

But today, I choose to celebrate the journey, the lessons, the patience, the strength, and above all, the God who carried me through it all.

So if you've ever experienced delays in your life, please don't think that your story is over. Sometimes, the journey takes longer than expected, but that doesn't mean you won't reach your destination.

As for me, I have my own testimony to share.

I came, I stayed, I experienced the delays, I survived the university wahala, and now...

I AM SIGNING OUT! πŸ₯³πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

What God cannot do does not exist!

Finally, finally! Somebody shout HALLELUJAH! πŸ€πŸŽ“β€οΈ
