Everyone's journeying alone,
Two paths call out my name, beckoning to me,
I can only travel one.
No mentor, no protector,
Because they are on the journey too,
Each person decides,
I must choose, but I lean on other’s will,
Everyone seems to have made their decision,
Not me, a fence sitter,
My heartbeat faster,
I become restless, and my palm sweat,
Don’t worry, it happens when I am about to make a decision.
I wish to travel both,
I'm uncertain of the outcome,
I want to eat from the two pots.
My life depends on this decision,
Either road A or B, the moment is melting into memory,
Maybe if I find myself on the wrong path earlier,
I can retrace my step and journey the other road.
I think everyone is greedy,
They don’t care about me,
Someone should hold my hands and walk me through the unknown,
Everyone is selfish and wicked.
But not today, my complaint will never work,
I have to decide now.
Youth runs in me, I need to decide fast before dawn comes,
I will choose a part, even if I am wrong,
I will retrace my step, I will learn from my mistake swiftly,
I will try the other option.
I watch old men, who can barely walk,
Trying to retrace their step and follow the other road,
I'm sure they won’t make it, it’s too late,
Should I wait and embrace their fate?
I see people sailing with a borrowed star,
Following the steps by step,
Embracing the thought and journey,
They do not wait to reflect. They just drift,
I can’t be like them, I have to decide my fate.
A little voice keeps whispering a road path to me,
But the echo of the crowd is beckoning.
