Keep your goals to yourself.
While I support your decision to record your goals, I also advise you to keep your goal declarations secret. My home's closet is where I keep all of my clothing wardrobe. Only I am allowed inside. My list of objective statements is on the wall of that cupboard. I know exactly where that list is and what each aim is. declares. The list I've made is only between God and me.
By sharing your goals with others, you risk receiving criticism not only for your selection of goals, but also for your inability to reach them, accomplish a few of your objectives quickly. Your objectives should be based on obedience to and faith in God.
You may have a few goals that you want to accomplish, but you might not understand how they connect to your ultimate goal of becoming like Christ and knowing Him. "I want to see the Swiss Alps and visit Australia in my lifetime," for instance. Perhaps establishing a schedule for those trips will give you peace of mind. "But what does this have to do with the Lord?" you might be wondering.
Inquire of the Lord what connection it might have to Him. The Lord might want you to take one of these places on a short-term missions trip, or He may ask you to travel to these areas to pray and intercede for the local populace.
Maybe He intends for you to visit these locations for a different reason. It's an enduring desire if you've always wanted to see a certain location.
Ask the Lord over time why he has given you that need in your heart. Listen attentively for possibilities related to your desire that He may reveal to you.
I've frequently found that God's true objective and the godly purpose I perceived in achieving the goal were not at all the same when I've established goals. My goals were far less important than his.
I know one young man who really wanted to go to Russia. He saved up his cash and traveled there as a tourist. He believed he was called to speak for the populace.
while he was traveling. He had several opportunities to share the gospel. He thought his reason for visiting Russia and his ambition there were not in vain completed.
But do you know what transpired when he returned home? The Russian people were on his mind. The more he prayed for them, the more he considered them, and the more he considered them, the more he felt compelled to pray for them. He was given the chance to teach at a Bible school in Russia for a brief mission trip. He left. And he believed that by going to Russia, he had undoubtedly accomplished God's will.
But God had even more in store. The young guy finally returned to Russia as a missionary and has been working there for a few years.
What occurs if you fail to meet a goal within the allotted time frame?
Don't be disheartened! You're likely to achieve some goals earlier than the deadlines you've set, but you won't achieve others for some time.
after the dates you've established. The most important thing is that you work steadily toward your objective, not that you meet a deadline. God determines the time frame in the end.
Establish goals that you are unable to achieve on your own and Talent
I advise you to set your aspirations so high that you will be unable to realize them without God's assistance. Set goals that push you, challenge you, and make you feel accomplished to explore new ways to develop and cultivate all of your natural and spiritual abilities. A genuine, God-given aim will be one that you and God can achieve, but that you cannot accomplish on your own.
Dedicate Yourself to Achieving Your Objectives
Don't write down a goal that you don't sincerely intend to work toward or pursue wholeheartedly. Don't create just to be able to state that you have them. You won't stay motivated and dedicated to accomplishing your goals over time if you do. Just write down the things that you really believe are appealing to God or that are directly from God.
Proceed Step by Step
Goals are met by taking one action at a time. Persistence must be accompanied by a certain amount of patience. Progress is sometimes sluggish, but if progress towards goals is obvious and determination, desire, and commitment are still strong. You may not have lost the ten pounds you intended to lose.
God has never rushed. Jesus spent thirty long years on this planet before starting His active public ministry. Did Jesus arrive on time? Was he abiding by God's exact schedule? Yes!
Not many worthwhile things may be achieved in a single day. Slow, obedient, and persistent pursuit of God's goals is what matters most. He is from New York and is a musician. as much as He is concerned about you accomplishing the objectives He assists you in setting, He is also worried about your continued faithfulness, discipline, faith, obedience, and reliance on Him.
Establish the objective of properly supervising your achievements!
I urge you to aim to manage or keep the blessings God bestows upon you. For the blessings and objectives we achieve, each of us has to be able to accept accountability.
