Writers 
There are seasons and times when we step into a place where we feel uninterested in the matters of God. A season where fellowship doesn't feels like it, and studying the Word of God feels boring to our soul. It's that moment when nothing seems to move or make an impact on how we feel about God. And when we don't intentionally pursue and press after Him, it gets more and more complicated.
I will always say it, life is spiritual, whatever manifestation of glory the physical realm holds is a replication of that which has first been conquered in the spiritual realm through constant engagement in Word study and prayers, that regardless of the feeling wether it's soothing or not we continue to press as the spirit of God positions us.
2 Corinthians 10:4 made us to understand that "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God, for pulling down strongholds." And another thing is that we must master the act of living by the potent flow of the fruit of the Spirit, as stated in Galatians 5:22, if not, we will always dance to the feeling the flesh whispers when we are weary and can't see the part in Scripture where it was written in Isaiah 40:31, which says "For as many as continue to hope on the Lord shall mount up with wings like eagles."
We must know that hope is a weapon we must continue to engage with when hopelessness begins to loom. One way to keep the administration of hope alive is the constant declaration of joy, even when it's not there. When joy is propagated and endorsed consistently, peace is exalted, and when peace is exalted, it gives us enough reason and strength to trust God. And when God sees how much you trust Him, He can go all the way for you.
God is super ready to help, support and guide us through every season of our lives, so rather than shying away and end up feeling like someone whom have lost their way, why not use the little strength you have left to run to him and tell him about your current state.
Until we learn and grow to begin to see God as a lover, we won't be able to fully come into that picture of his true nature and his intentions towards us.
I pray that whatever situation or affliction you find yourself in, as you trust, believing, and acknowledge Him according to Proverbs 3:5-6, He shall continue to level and make straight every crooked path for you, in JESUS name. 🙏
Don't sit back in silence and continue to hope, but even as you hope let your intimacy, fellowship and closeness with him grow. Indeed their is hope for a tree that has been cut down, for as long as it roots remain in the ground, at the scent of water it shall grow, bud, sprouts, and be very much fruitful again.
