MY SUNSHINE
stories/poem

MY SUNSHINE

You are my sunshine in my sky,

The soft beams of light which shine so high.

If dark clouds come upon me,If dark clouds come to me,

You're the one who brings me hope to see.

You raise spirits in a grey day,

And give me strength, walking in the way.

When I can rest my head, when I'm down,

Your words call out the place where I should go.

Your smile is like the morning sun,

When days are over, just a little warmth.

My heart is strong, and your kindness makes it so,

And provides me strength to continue my journey.

When storms of life start to rise,

You turn the rainbow to my skies.

If fear and doubt should come near,

You are with me when I face them, holding my hand, you are with me when I go out.

You are the light that never dies,

A gift of beauty that life has given.

Come the winter and come the summer,

You do not fade away, you are always as bright as you were.

So here let me love each one of the days,

The light that you take along on the way.

In times of cold and grey days,

You're my sunshine every day.

No matter where life's journey goes,

Your lamp shall burn and not go out.

And this is my heart's purpose to maintain:

You're my sunshine each and every day.
