Every Success Comes With A Price Sacrifice

Achieving any objective will necessitate some level of sacrifice, and it is easy to overlook this at times! Often, we concentrate on what we will RECEIVE from reaching our objectives rather than what we may have to forfeit. Yet, failing to recognize and prepare for these sacrifices can lead to unexpected challenges – and could even jeopardize our ultimate success.

What sorts of sacrifices have you made in pursuit of your objectives previously?

Did you forgo some of your beloved TV series to allocate time toward your objectives? Did you skip your favorite sweets when you initiated a new workout plan? What sacrifices have you been facing (or finding difficult) with your present objectives?

Are you struggling to bypass the snack machine at your workplace? Are you finding it challenging to make daily meditation a priority when your family requires your focus? Are you having a hard time adhering to your new budget because those beautiful shoes caught your eye as you walked by and you just had to own them?

Let’s be honest; sacrifices are typically not enjoyable. It entails relinquishing something you appreciate, even if just for a moment. Regrettably, few rewards can be achieved without some form of sacrifice. Recognizing this is an essential first step in bracing yourself for any discomfort that may arise while you work toward your objectives.

The Remedy:

In relation to sacrifices, only two questions are crucial:

• Is it worth it?

For each goal, it’s vital to ascertain that what you will gain is worth the price of what you will forfeit. These assessments are seldom absolute; they usually shift based on your viewpoints.

For instance, when you initially establish your objectives and begin pursuing them, you might feel that your sacrifices are very worthwhile. Your enthusiasm is high, and you feel optimistic about resisting any urges to revert to previous habits. However, as time passes and you find yourself longing for the comforts or joys you once enjoyed, you may question whether you can persist in these sacrifices. Indeed, this query (Is it worth it?) is one you will likely need to address repeatedly until your new behaviors replace the old ones.

• Are you willing to do it?

Even more crucial than the first question, this one clarifies whether your goal genuinely matters to you – or not. If you conclude that you are not prepared to make sacrifices right now, you might need to consider a lesser goal until you feel equipped to tackle larger obstacles in the future.

If you discover that you are ready, all you need to do is consistently reinforce that choice mentally every time you feel tempted to deviate from your path.

counterproductive to your objectives. Those who succeed never give up; persistence and resolve are crucial for reaching your goals.

Sacrifices are generally unpleasant. It involves giving up something you value, even if it is only temporarily. Unfortunately, achieving many rewards often requires some kind of sacrifice. Acknowledging this is a crucial initial step in preparing for any unease that might occur as you pursue your goals.
