EVERLASTING
Beyond the fading light of day,
Where golden sunsets drift away,
There lives a dream that time can't end,
A quiet truth the stars defend.
Everlasting, like the sky,
That watches every cloud pass by,
Like rivers running to the sea,
A song that flows eternally.
The seasons change, the flowers fall,
The winter comes and covers all;
Yet underneath the sleeping ground,
New seeds of hope are waiting to be found.
Everlasting is the morning sun,
Returning when the night is done.
It paints the world with rays of gold,
Reminding hearts they can be bold.
It is the kindness someone gives,
A gentle word that forever lives;
A helping hand, a smile, a prayer,
A little love that lingers there.
It is the footprints people leave
In hearts that choose to still believe.
Though years may pass and memories fade,
Some precious marks will never shade.
Everlasting is not always loud;
It can be hidden beneath a crowd.
It may be found in quiet grace,
In someone's courage, someone's face.
When storms arrive and skies turn gray,
When yesterday has slipped away,
Remember this when hope feels small:
Not every ending ends it all.
For every night must yield to dawn,
And every darkness waits for morn.
So let your heart rise, strong and free,
And trust in what is meant to be.
For time may change what eyes can see,
But some things live eternally.
And when the final echoes pass,
Love leaves a light that’s built to last.
Everlasting—
A flame beyond the years,
A promise written in the stars,
A hope that outlives fears.
