A Message You Needed to Hear
Dear younger me...
I know you won't believe this right now, but everything you're worried about... won't matter as much as you think.
I see you. Trying so hard to be liked... to fit in... to not feel left out.
You shrink yourself just to make others comfortable.
You stay quiet when you have so much to say.
You doubt yourself... even when you're capable of so much more.
But listen to me...
You don't have to be perfect to be loved.
You don't have to prove your worth to anyone.
Those people you're trying so hard to impress? Most of them won't even be in your life in a few years.
And that thing you're afraid to start? That dream you keep pushing aside?
Start it. Start messy. Start scared. Just start.
Because one day, you'll wish you had started sooner.
Also... it's okay to fail.
Failure is not the end. It's part of the journey.
Every mistake you make will teach you something school never could.
And about that pain you're hiding... Yeah, I know about it.
The silent tears. The nights you overthink everything. The times you feel like you're not enough but you are. You've always been enough. You just haven't realized it yet.
Be kinder to yourself.
Stop speaking to yourself like you're your own enemy.
You deserve the same love you give to everyone else.
And please... stop rushing.
Life is not a race. You are not in competition with anyone.
Take your time. Grow at your own pace.
Everything meant for you will find you. But only if you don't give up.
Oh... and one more thing.
Trust God.
Even when it doesn't make sense. Even when it's painful.
There's a bigger picture you can't see yet.
And one day, you'll look back and realize... every delay, every heartbreak, every closed door was actually protecting you.
I'm proud of you.
For surviving. For holding on. For not giving up, even when you wanted to.
You're stronger than you think.
And the future? It's better than you can imagine.
With love, Your older self.
