THINGS WE NEVER SAY OUT LOUD

THINGS WE NEVER SAY OUT LOUD

Somewhere inside you

lives the child

who still believes

impossible things can happen.

The one who once looked at the sky

and never wondered

if the stars were too far away.

Somewhere inside you

is the dream you buried

when life became too loud,

when reality spoke louder

than the voice that once said,

“I can.”

Somewhere inside you

is the courage

you keep waiting to feel.

You keep saying,

“Tomorrow.”

Tomorrow, I'll begin.

Tomorrow, I'll try.

Tomorrow, I'll become

the person I've always wanted to be.

But tomorrow keeps coming

without finding you ready.

And somewhere along the way,

you stopped asking,

“What if I can?”

and started asking,

“What if I fail?”

Maybe the world convinced you

that you've waited too long.

Maybe you've watched

too many people become

what you are still trying to be.

Maybe you've looked at your own reflection

and wondered,

“Where did that hopeful person go?”

But maybe...

they never left.

Maybe hope

doesn't always shout.

Maybe sometimes

it sits quietly inside you,

waiting.

Whispering.

Reminding you

that you are not finished.

That becoming

doesn't begin

when you are fearless.

It begins

when you are willing.

Willing to try again.

Willing to begin badly.

Willing to believe

that one failed attempt

doesn't make you a failure.

So if you've been waiting

for a sign to begin again,

let this be it.

If you've been waiting

for permission,

give it to yourself.

If you've forgotten

what hope feels like,

find it again.

Because somewhere inside you...

beneath the fear,

beneath the doubt,

beneath every “maybe I can't,”

is the person

you have been searching for

all along.

And maybe, just maybe,

they've been waiting for you too—

waiting for you

to discover,

to recover,

to find the strength

you thought you had lost.

Somewhere inside you

is the quiet encouragement,

the courage,

the strength you need.

But first,

you have to look past

all the “impossible”

you've been taught to believe.

And maybe, just maybe,

you've been waiting

for yourself all along.

To discover.

To recover.

To become.
