*Life Goes On*
_Even When We Don’t Feel Like It_
*Intro*
The sun still rises.
The market still opens.
NEPA still takes light.
Buses still fill the road.
Even when my heart is heavy,
Even when my pocket is empty,
Even when my prayers feel unanswered,
*Life goes on.*
*Verse 1: The Pain*
We lose people.
We lose money.
We lose chances we prayed for.
We send CVs and get no reply.
We give our best and still get rejected.
Some nights I cry into my pillow.
Some mornings I wake up tired.
It feels like the world stopped with me.
But outside my window,
Buses are moving.
Children are laughing.
Hawkers are shouting _“pure water!”_
Mama is still frying beans cake by the roadside.
Life doesn’t pause for our tears.
It keeps spinning, with or without us.
And that’s the hardest truth to accept.
*Verse 2: The Push*
Life does not wait for us to heal.
It drags us gently forward.
One step, one prayer, one hustle at a time.
There will be days we want to quit.
Days the weight feels too much to carry.
Days we ask, _“God, are you even listening?”_
But we remember those who are counting on us.
We remember the dreams we wrote down in January.
We remember that every great man once broke down too.
Proverbs 24:16 _“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”_
So I rise.
Not because I’m strong,
But because tomorrow is still calling my name.
Because quitting now would waste all the battles I’ve already won.
Because giving up today means betraying the me of tomorrow.
*Conclusion*
So I will wipe my tears.
I will eat.
I will work.
I will hope.
I will believe that this season will pass.
I will plant again, even on dry ground.
Because heartbreak, bills, and delays are chapters —
not the whole book.
*Life goes on.*
And one day, I’ll look back and say:
“Thank God I didn’t stop.
Thank God I kept going.
Thank God I chose life.”
