Salvation was designed to affect the entire tripartite nature of man the body, soul and spirit. Heb. 4:12. The mind plays a vital role concerning the spirit and the body, It is the connectivity between the spirit and the body. Not every creature of God is a man, what distinguishes man is that there must be a spirit and must be in a body.
Salvation starts with the spirit but does not end there, it has to affect the soul and then the actions played out in bodily expression.
Transformation and renewal of the mind is the name given to the salvation of the soul.
And how the renewal and transformation of the mind happens is by casting down prior and false knowledge and feeding the mind with right knowledge ( The word of God ).

Frustration comes when one thinks that magically after salvation, one will sleep and wake up and their mind, brain and intellect changed automatically.
The fulfilment of prophecy is done in the soul - mind.
