From where do we come,
And where are we going?
From the silence of yesterday,
Into tomorrow, still glowing.
From little dreams in quiet rooms,
To visions reaching the sky,
From whispered words of “I can’t,”
To the courage to simply try.
From the hands that raised us,
We learned to stand and grow,
From every word of wisdom,
We learned the things we know.
From tears that fell unnoticed,
Came strength we never knew,
From moments that once broke us,
Came hearts made strong and true.
From failure came a lesson,
From loss came something new,
From doors that closed before us,
Came paths we never knew.
From friendships came the memories
That time cannot erase,
From people who once loved us,
We learned the warmth of grace.
From yesterday’s mistakes,
We should never build our home;
For life is always moving,
And tomorrow is unknown.
From darkness comes the morning,
From winter comes the spring,
From seeds beneath the soil,
Come flowers that softly sing.
From prayers whispered at midnight,
Can rise a brighter day;
From faith that seems so little,
Can come the strength to stay.
From dreams comes determination,
From courage comes the climb,
From patience comes achievement,
When we give it enough time.
So ask me where I’m coming from—
I’ll tell you, “I’ve come far.”
I’m from lessons, love, and struggle,
From every scar and star.
And where am I going?
Toward a future I can see,
For I am not defined by where I’m from—
I’m becoming who I’m meant to be.
