Oh! Nature
The comfort when all things go wrong
The evidence of how beautiful this world can truly be if only....
The root of everything made that is made
The beauty of God's own handwork made manifest
Perfect in all ramification
The mother that brings peace and tranquility on sad, lonely days
The brush of her motherly love...like the gentle soothing zephyr
Likewise a balm on our souls
The crickets sing in awe of the flowing green landscape
Grateful to be close to her
Tunes of happiness and joyous abandon
Grateful to be counted as one of her
Our past selves willing and loving to use her healing leaves as herbs unto our beings
And her livestock and produce as a balm to our ailing stomachs in form of broth....
But that all seems pastπ’
The hack and crack of industrialization
Like a bane unto our very souls
Denying us the joy and connection we once had
The trees that once provided shelter for the harsh weather
Vanished like it never existed
Crickets and free birds and nightingales
Hiding for fear they meet the same fate as the one who begat them
Do we revere or seek to destroy?
Our only hope remains in the night..
Where the moon offer same solitude and comfort without having to search far and wide
The crickets, who substitutes for day, come out in their numbers at night
At times offering tranquility and at times wistfulness
Sigh..
Woe and woe again
To the banes of industrialization
Our lovely mother- Nature
Do we revere or seek to destroy?
