In life, there are times when we must reflect on how we did not make it to this point on our own. There were days we felt weak, nights that we cried, and seasons we wondered how tomorrow would turn out. But somehow we made it. Strength came into us, we found it somehow to keep moving. As we reflect on all of this, one thing is clear: God is always faithful.
How great is Your faithfulness, O Lord. When all things change, You remain the same. Your promises are unchangeable, when people do not fulfill their promises. Even when doors close unexpectedly, You are still working in the background. When we cannot comprehend what You are doing, we can trust Who You are.
There are times when God's faithfulness is not in the form of what we want. At times it seems to be protection from what we believed we needed. At times, it may be a closed door that leads us away from a wrong path. Often it is not the strength to get out, but the strength to put up with a tough time.
We all had battles that we believed were going to bring us down, but God carried us through them. We had a couple of failures here but God gave us the strength to start over. At times, we had given up our hope, but He brought us encouragement at the right time. Where our strength failed His grace intervened.
The Bible tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23 that God's mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness is great. That is to say, each new day is a reminder of His mercies. We rose up today and that is a reminder that our story is not over.
Remember God's faithfulness in the past and it will give you strength for the future. God who gave you yesterday can give you again. If God can open a door before me, He can open another afterwards. It is the same God who brought you through one difficult time can bring you through the next one.
“Don't let today's problems keep you from today's miracles.” Don't let one prayer go unanswered to negate all of the prayers God already answered. In the quietest of moments, He is always there! In waiting, He works. In the storm, He's still God!
Today you may have tears in your eyes, but you also have hope in your heart. There can be doubt about what will happen tomorrow, but there is a faithful God who knows what will happen tomorrow. You might not have everything you want but don't forget to be grateful for what God has done for you.
How good is Your faithfulness, Lord. Thank You for Your sustaining, Your protection from danger, Your opening of doors, and even Your closing of doors. Thank You for providing us with strength when we were weak and hope when we felt like giving up.
May we go into another day boldly, knowing that God's faithfulness is not based on our circumstances. His love remains unchanged, regardless of our circumstances. His grace is enough, and His words are true.
You are faithful, O LORD!How great is Your faithfulness, LORD! Yesterday, today and forever You are faithful.
