In life, there are times when the start is quite different from what we had envisioned for the future. We begin in small beginnings, we go through the rough times, we experience the disappointments of life and we ask ourselves whether our labors will ever result in what we want. The one thing we should never forget however is this: The end is greater than the beginning.
It's not a sign of a bad outcome if it starts off tough. You don't necessarily have to end up where you start. You might not feel good in your current season but God can work through you through every season to prepare for something bigger.
Ecclesiastes 7:8 says “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” This is a reminder NOT to judge a story by its first chapter. Often the most beautiful testimonies start with seemingly hopeless circumstances.
Think about a seed. When it is planted in the ground, it disappears into darkness. To the outside, it might seem like it's a blank slate. However, something is growing underground. Roots are growing. Life is beginning to form. So, what was once underground starts to emerge.
Today, your life might be just like that seed. It may be a while until you see some results, but that doesn't mean God is not at work. Your waiting season may be preparing you for your manifestation season. Your difficulties could be strengthening your resolve, your wisdom, your patience and your character for the future.
Never let your current pain and problems tell you that your story is ending. In the world of business, failure is never permanent. There is no such thing as too late. Rejection is not the end all and be all. A negative can be a turning point to something positive sometimes.
You may have had doors that have slammed shut in your life. You might have missed chances, had bad relationships, lost plans and had prayers that were unanswered. Don't lose hope today over last night's loss.
Keep moving.
Keep believing.
Keep working.
Keep praying.
It may not be easy, but your job is to stick to the process. Not everything is understood at present, but it is crucial that every chapter is not a perfect fit until the whole story is beautiful.
Remember Joseph. Prior to his season of influence, he was betrayed, enslaved, falsely accused and imprisoned. Though it was a sore beginning, it was also a greater end.
This chapter isn't the end of your tale.
You may have little to no experience at all. Maybe people just don't see your potential. Maybe you don't see the fruits of your labor. NEVER underestimate small beginnings. The big things come out of the small things.
One day, you will see that the tears that you shed, the waiting that you did, the disappointments, the struggles were not in vain. These were taken as part of the preparation.
So, do not quit at the start for being difficult. Don't give up if the middle is hard. There is still more to go!
Hold on to your faith. Don't use your hands to the task. Maintain an optimistic attitude towards the heart.
The story is yet to be written, and the chapter you are living in right now is not the last chapter.
Your starting point may be small, your path may be hard and rocky, but with God, your end may be beyond the greatest.
