When you have a grateful heart, you'll see the beauty.
When others may not notice you,
It counts the blessings, big and small,
And is content with nothing more.
In times of difficulty and dreams are distant,
Thanksgiving is a light to walk by,
It brings us to mind the progress we've made,
And fills us with strength in the night.
I'm thankful for the air I breathe,Thankful for the air that I breathe,
Each time the sun rises, each day,
When the lessons have been learned in the midst of painful times,
And power that assisted me to get by.
I thank those hands that assisted,
For friends that remained at home when storms came,
Every word that gave me hope,
And all hearts that were truly concerned.
A grateful heart doesn't complain
Regarding those things it cannot perceive,
It learns to appreciate what it has
And is content in solitude.
Let my heart be glad and rejoice with him,
Come What May is this time of year.
For every when the road is rough,
There's always something good to be taken from a day.
When it comes to enough, gratitude takes little to much.
And common moments to gold.
It is a river that brings everlasting peace to the heart,
And strengthens the spirit and makes it bold.
So I will decide to live gratefully,
To cherish each day, to be grateful for everything.
A thankful heart has vision,
In times when the world is all grey.
May thankfulness be in my soul,
May I be directed by thanksgiving in all my actions:
For when I learn to appreciate life,
I find that life loves me as well.
