There are times in life when things need to all fall into place at once. The plans you worked out did not work out, the people you trusted may let you down and the doors you wanted won't open. You might see around yourself and realize that you're holding on to nothing anymore. But at times, when all else is removed, there remains one thing: faith.
Faith is when you believe even when you don't know how to. It is trusting God when your prayers are going unanswered and believing that tomorrow is going to be better when today sucks. Faith does not mean that you have no problems. It is saying no more to your problems than to your God.
When you have nothing left but faith, hold on to it.
Sometimes you may want to quit. You've tried everything you are familiar with, you've worked hard, you've prayed heartfelt prayers and you have seen nothing change. When that happens, recall that God has not abandoned you,The best things are sometimes done out of sight while you wait.
We must walk by faith, and not by sight, the Bible says. It means you don't have to be where you are because you have to be where you are.It means you don't have to be where you're at because you are where you're at. Today's experiences might not last, but God's plans for you can be better than what you are experiencing right now.
When your strength is gone, Faith gives you strength. It provides you with the strength to take two steps when you don't see the whole path. It helps to teach you to say “I don't understand what's going on, but I trust God.”
Consider a seed planted under the ground. It appears abandoned and dead from the outside. However, underneath the earth, a change is taking place. Roots are developing and life is growing. You may feel like you're buried, but maybe you're being prepared to grow!
Don't turn your nose up at the tough time.
A closed door could be your protection from the wrong opportunity. The wait could be a preparation for the right time. Disappointment may be a means of teaching you something you'd never learned through success.
If you have none other than faith, pray again. Try again. Stand again. Believe again.
So do not need to know everything about tomorrow. Belief in God is only required to take the next step.
One day you will realize that what you believed was a season of your breaking was really strengthening you. You will be able to see why some doors closed and why some prayers were delayed in getting an answer.
So, when you find yourself empty, tired and unsure today, take comfort in this: You have lost many things, but you have not lost your ability to believe.
But sometimes, all you need to start over is faith.
Hold on.
Keep trusting.
Keep praying.
Keep walking.
When you have nothing else but Faith, you have Hope and with God, Hope is the starting point of something beautiful.
