A woman of purpose isn't just a woman who dreams, it's a woman who knows why she exists and lives on purpose. A woman of purpose takes her share of the definition of a successful life, which is often determined by wealth, beauty, popularity and social standing, and applies it to the lives she impacts, her character and growth, and the world.
Not all purpose starts with a 100% plan. Sometimes it starts with a yearning to be better, to serve, to face up to a challenge or to use gifts to make a difference. Each woman possesses her own strengths, experiences and opportunities that can be harnessed to achieve greater things. The key is to identify them and use them appropriately.
A woman of purpose understands that she will not be walking the path of what is easy. There will be times of discouragement, of rejection, of failure, and of doubt. She might occasionally wonder if she's getting better. However, difficulties don't need to be a reason to give up. They can turn into a chance to become stronger, wiser, more determined.
She's also conscious of the significance of self-awareness. She believes that the society will not decide her value, nor will it force her to be someone she is not. She is attuned to others, but does not become others in order to imitate their path. She knows that her journey will be unique and that is not a badge of shame or anything.
A woman of purpose also knows that success isn't entirely about what she does for herself. It's also about what she gives to others. She can inspire others with her words, encourage with her actions, mentor those who follow in her footsteps, support her family, develop a career, or offer opportunities for others. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is to do little things that are consistent and may not be noticed by others.
Purpose requires discipline. Actions are necessary for dreams to become reality. If a woman desires a life that makes a difference, she will have to be ready to learn, work, sacrifice and stay committed even if the results are not immediate. She needs to know that real success can be achieved in a gentle way, step by step.
Most importantly, purpose must not be divorced from character. To do great things, and to lose in the process the integrity, the compassion, the humility or the peace is not to be. A woman of purpose wants not only to make a success out of her life but a life she can be proud of.
There is no set formula for your story they don't need to be alike. You have to do your best to figure things out, but you don't need to do it all today. Build on what you have, grow the gifts you have, learn from what has happened and continue on.
The world doesn't need women who just exist, it needs women who live on purpose! A woman who is up when she's down. Women who transform pain into wisdoms, dreams into action and opportunities into impact.
Be that woman. Live it up truly; don't live it up because others are watching, rather because your life has a purpose to fill.
