At the classroom of numbers,
In the place of equations comes life,
Lifts my maths teacher,
Encouraging all students to do their best.
Using chalk on the blackboard,
And with his formulas in his hand,
He adds up complicated queries. He processes complicated questions.
In lessons we learn.
But behind his serious face,
There is a story we may not see,
A journey of struggles and obstacles,
He teaches patiently, however.
On some occasions the class is noisy,
At times we do not learn,
He patientsly straightens us out,
Until our minds have changed.
He is solving greater than equations.
He works on the solutions to life's problems,
Teaching us, that every failure
Can fortify us in afflictions.
It may not be easy in his days,
His burdens may be great,
But he walks into each classroom though,
Not accepting what is unavoidable.
My maths teacher says to me
That life is like mathematics,
We have uncertainties and challenging questions,
However, practice makes perfect and so do answers.
So, with each calculation,
There is Wisdom, Hope and Grace.
As for every severe correction,
There is care which we can take up.
Though his life is more than numbers,
More than just lessons on the board;
It's a story of bravery,
A trip towards reward.
When I finally get it.
The lessons he wanted to impart,
I have heard his greatest achievement.
Is the lives that he helped to reach.
