GEN-Z DISCIPLE
Jesus is not on Instagram, but I follow him daily,
He is not a celebrity, yet I'm a die-hard fan.
I find him in the pages of the holy book, so I face that book rather than scrolling Facebook.
Like a YouTube channel, I subscribe to his precepts
And his contents, I commend, like and share.
For God so loved the world–let the digital disciples spread it online,
He is more closer to us than our phones, yes his aura–more ambient than a ring light.
His good news is sweeter than any pick-up line
Yes! Blush at it cos he's the chief Mr. Right.
While great men of this dispensation are known to break the jugular,
Let's not sit back and just be the regular.
If we cannot be the Oyors that give birth to sounds,
We can be the Lazaruses that bring words to life.
And if we cannot be the Bamiloyes that capture godliness in motion
We can be a trend that puts holiness to action.
Let our lights so shine–not as torchlight, but be the spotlight
That takes the digital stage to reflect His glory.
Let our light so shine–not as torchlight, but be the flame
That spreads like wildfire and consumes today's perversion with no remedy.
Behold, He'll surprise us someday–not with bouquets or GLEs,
But with a host of trumpeters that will pararan to the world's end.
So while we can, let's make this surprise worth it.
Time's already ticking, why spend it tick-toking?
