A Christ controlled life is a life totally under the leadership of Jesus Christ and under his guidance. It is a life in which Christ is the "first thing" that is considered in every thought, decision and action. A person who is driven by the Holy Spirit rather than worldly desires, pride or pleasure. Such a life is a reflection of the character of Christ in the form of love, humility, obedience, kindness and faithfulness.
The first step in living a life controlled by Jesus Christ is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In receiving Him, they obtain forgiveness of sins and are made a new creation. But faith in Christ is the first step. A believer must grow further spiritually in prayer, by reading the bible, attending worship, being with other Christians, and obeying the word of God. They are spiritual practices that build up trust in God and enable believers to stay close to Him.
Love is one of the heights of a life lived under the Control of Jesus. Jesus told His disciples to love God with their whole heart, soul, and mind and to love others as themselves. Compassion, forgiveness, generosity, patience, and service are all indicators of this love. A person controlled by the spirit of Christ doesn't revenge, he doesn't hold onto grudges, but he chooses peace and reconciliation. This kind of life is inspiring and uplifting to others.
Godly character is also a product of a Christ controlled life. A believer is honest, trustworthy, respectful and self-disciplined. love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control are clearly displayed in everyday living. These attributes are factors in relationships at home, school, work and community. Those who live according to God's principles are examples of his love and righteousness.
Don't misunderstand, life is not always easy and pleasant to live with a Christ controlled life. Christians continue to be tempted, disappointed and tried. But they are not alone in having to overcome these obstacles. Christ empowers them with strength, wisdom and courage, to face all the trials. Believers can be comforted with God's promises and can have confidence that God is working everything out for their benefit because they do so by faith and prayer. They believe in God's plan when they can't figure out what it is.
What's more, a life lived under the direction of Christ is a life of purpose. It aims to bring glory to God while serving others, bringing the message of salvation and making a difference in society. A life that prizes honesty, justice, mercy and compassion. Makes people acquainted with Christ by word and demonstration. One of the things that a believer must grasp is that success is not determined by wealth or popularity but rather by being faithful to the will of God.
Finally, a life controlled by Christ is the best way to discover peace, joy and fulfillment. It changes the character of the person, renews the mind and transforms the heart according to the example of Jesus Christ. The trip is both committed and complied, but it is also a walk that demands daily rely on the Lord and yet offers eternal gain. All Christians must attempt to be a life in which Christ is manifest and His name is honored in all their actions.
