MEMORY VERSE: So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. (Psalm 80 vs 18)
Introduction
From the English dictionary we understand that revival is a noun and can be defined as the act or instance of reviving: the state of being Revived. Hence, we can’t understand revival without the verb (action word) REVIVE, Revive means the return to consciousness or life: to become active or flourishing again.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE REVIVE
From our introduction we understand that to be revive means to come back to consciousness or life. This implies that a man not revive is consider dead or dormant, the story in (2 king 13 vs 21) made us understand that the dead man upon coming in contact with the bones of Elisha was revive and not only that he was revive, he received strength because (he stood up on his feet without extra help). Being revive is a state of being, sustained by a process to avoid relapse or being weakened. We have few process or procedure that sustain revival; sound bible doctrine, fellowship, prayers and testimonies.one such process or concept is what we are engaging in today’s meeting, which is sound bible doctrine by the ministry of teaching and fellowship. Hence will we be looking at the word STRENGTH and how it helps to sustain Revival. Strength means the quality of being strong: capacity and endurance. Permit to define strength according to the scripture as the ability to stand in the ordinance/will of God without the assistance of any man but by the holy spirit (john 6 vs 63). Strength according to the scripture means ability, power, effort, might, force, able, fruits, substance, boldness, majesty, strong. It is worthy of note that only God supplies strength and he supplies strength only through his spirit in man. Man in their entirety doesn’t sustain the capacity to supply strength but only the \holy spirit sustains that power (Philippians 1 vs 13, Psalm 119 vs 28, Psalm 105 Vs 4, Psalm 96 vs 6, Psalm 59 Vs 9;17, Psalm 28 vs 8)
Being strengthened is a sure way of preserving revival, because when the holy spirit is at work in your chambers, he strengthens you and helps you from falling or dying. The strength being supplied by the holy spirit is gotten directly from God, God is the chief custodian of Strength. Our text makes us understand that there is a very big possibility for a man to fail, fall, be weak and get weary. But thanks be to God for being a loving father by providing a system of advantage for us as his children (waiting on him). So as believer we wait on the lord in order to sustain revival
When God is set to revive his church, the youth are always at the forefront of his program and agenda. The question to every Visionary youth is are you ready in this season of awakening to be revive and strengthened, to be a mighty arrow in the hand of the Master.
