Hope
poem

Hope

Hope is the whisper that speaks in the night,

The tiny voice saying, “Things will be alright.”

It rises like morning after darkness has stayed,

A gentle reminder that light will not fade.

Hope is the hand that reaches through fear,

The quiet assurance that someone is near.

It lives in the heart when the road disappears,

And gathers its strength from the lessons of tears.

When dreams have been shattered and plans have gone wrong,

Hope is the feeling that helps us move on.

It does not promise that sorrow won't stay,

But tells us that pain will not last every day.

Hope can be small like a candle's soft flame,

Yet even the darkness can never stay the same.

A single bright spark in a room filled with night

Can show a lost traveler the direction of light.

Hope lives in children who dream of tomorrow,

In hearts that keep smiling despite all their sorrow.

It lives in the farmer who plants in the rain,

Believing that sunshine will come once again.

It lives in the mother who whispers a prayer,

In someone who struggles but chooses to care.

It lives in the broken who rise from the floor,

And knock on life's door when they've fallen before.

Hope does not always arrive like the sun,

Sometimes it appears when the battle's begun.

Sometimes it is simply the strength to endure,

The courage to breathe when the future's unsure.

When loneliness tells you that no one can hear,

Hope softly reminds you that love can be near.

When failure declares that you'll never succeed,

Hope plants a seed from a very small need.

It says, “Try once more, though your footsteps are slow.

There may be a road that you don't yet know.”

It teaches the heart not to measure the climb

By how far you have traveled, but one step at a time.

Hope is not blindness to sorrow and pain,

It knows that the storm can return once again.

But hope chooses courage when fear takes its stand,

And keeps moving forward with faith in its hand.

There will be mornings when nothing feels right,

And evenings that seem to go endlessly into night.

There will be moments when dreams feel too far,

And you wonder if you can still reach the stars.

But hope will remain in the depths of your soul,

A quiet reminder that you can be whole.

It waits underneath every wound and regret,

Refusing to let your best moments be set.

Hope is the sunrise that follows the rain,

The gentle beginning that comes after pain.

It is the flower that grows through the stone,

Proving that life can survive on its own.

So hold on to hope when the journey is long,

Carry it gently through everything wrong.

Protect its small flame when the cold winds appear,

And let it grow stronger with every new year.

For hope is a promise that life can renew,

A doorway to things you have yet to pursue.

It does not erase what you've already been through,

But shows there are still brighter chapters for you.

And when you look back at the roads you have crossed,

At every hard battle, each moment you lost,

You may finally see what you could not see then:

Hope was beside you, again and again.

So when darkness arrives, do not surrender your light.

When fear becomes loud, hold your hope through the night.

For even the smallest flame can guide you through,

And tomorrow is waiting with something brand new.

Hope may be quiet, but hope can be strong.

It keeps the heart beating when things have gone wrong.

And as long as you carry its light in your soul,

There will always be somewhere for dreams to unfold.
