One of the most beautiful opportunities that life can give is a new beginning. It allows us to embark on a new, amend what we have done, learn from it, and move forward with renewed hope. Sometimes things don't go as we plan. Failure, disappointment, rejection, loss and challenging moments can occur, and cause us to doubt ourselves. But despite yesterday's difficulties, we know that our story does not end there, because a new day is here.
A new beginning is in the power of changing direction. We can't change what has happened, but we can choose how we will deal with it. What we do wrong shouldn't become a label for us forever. Rather, they must be meant to be lessons that increase our wisdom and strength. Sometimes failure may lead to other opportunities.
You have to be courageous to start over again. Breaking away from the old and going into the new isn't always easy. Fear can make us question our abilities and the opinions of other people can discourage us. At times, we fear that we will not succeed again. But, bravery is not being afraid of anything. It is about doing things even when you're afraid. All great things start with a decision to take a first step.
Life can bring about new beginnings in multiple ways. A student who does not do well on a test can work more diligently to do better. A person that's lost their job can get educated on a new skill and try to find a new job. If someone has become addicted to negative habits, they can choose to make a change and adopt positive habits. A person who has forsaken a dream can get back on board and start working for it. When we are open to trying, there is always space for improvement.
Patience is also taught to us when we have a new beginning. We are often looking for instant results, but for real change to take place we need to allow time. It can have detours, let downs and times when things don't go as smoothly as you'd like. Don't give up, be consistent. Little things done daily add up to big things done over time.
Faith can also provide us with strength when we start over. In trusting God, we can deal with the unknown future with confidence and hope. Even if we don't comprehend all the things that are going on around us, we can still live with the conviction that our lives have meaning. During difficult times, we need to be focused and can do so through prayer, hard work, patience and determination.
The most important thing is that we should never let our past dictate our future. There may have been errors in yesterday, but there are possibilities in tomorrow. It's okay if you have failed in the past, but it doesn't mean that you will keep on failing. You might have missed it this time, but you'll get another chance If you have fallen you can get up.
A new beginning isn't a weakness. It's a testament of strength, courage and determination. It is a matter of opting for hope instead of fear, forward steps rather than recriminations. Take advantage of the life chances that present themselves to you.
Keep in mind that each dawn has a message you have another opportunity. Forget the failure of yesterday, take forward the lessons learned and step forward with faith into tomorrow. Your past can be a part of your story, but it doesn't have to be a story's ending. The start that you dread can turn out to be the beginning you've been waiting for.
