When it feels like love is no longer enough, help me to ring a bell to the memories you left at the door of my heart, reminding me of the pain you took to the cross for my soul to be saved at your cost.
When it feels like the sun and the stars no longer shine through the firmament, help me to walk into the deepest reality of your word so that it can be the lamp to my feet and the light to my path as I uncover every truth in it.
When the cry you cried, “It was finished,” at the breath of your last doesn't look like it's all over for me, help me to find potency in your word as I journey through it for my freedom to be sustained in your love.
Let my heart pant for your course far and beyond; let it explore the sound of your joy as I drink through the wells where your solidarity dwells, from my head to my loins and down to my joints.
For many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is of the Lord's purpose that prevails, so let me lie in wait and trust you to be the author and the finisher of my faith.
And let the heavens testify at the gnawing sensation of your glory that gropes around my soul, reminding me that I was bought with a price and that, yes, I am not my own but yours to be throb in your love.
So, when it feels like love is no longer enough, help me sit aloft and smile back at the beautiful sight where your love resides.
Amen.
