THE ELEMENT AND MATERIALS- SOIL
poem

THE ELEMENT AND MATERIALS- SOIL

Beneath our feet, so calm and deep,

Lies the earth where secrets sleep.

Dark and brown, yet full of life,

It feeds the world through joy and strife.

The soil holds seeds within its heart,

Waiting patiently for life to start.

With gentle rain and rays of sun,

A tiny seed becomes someone.

From soil grow flowers, green and bright,

Trees that dance in morning light.

Corn and wheat and fruits we eat,

All begin beneath our feet.

The farmer walks across the land,

Holding seeds within his hand.

He digs the earth with hope and care,

And trusts that harvest will be there.

The soil gives plants a place to stand,

Holding their roots beneath the land.

It gives them water, food, and space,

Helping every plant embrace.

Worms move softly through the ground,

While little insects crawl around.

Bacteria work without a sound,

Breaking old leaves beneath the ground.

The soil may seem quiet and still,

But underneath, it works its will.

A hidden world we rarely see,

Filled with endless activity.

It stores the water when rains fall,

Protecting life, both great and small.

It helps the forests, fields, and trees,

And gives the earth a chance to breathe.

But soil can suffer when we forget

The value of the earth beneath our feet.

Pollution, erosion, and careless hands

Can slowly destroy our precious lands.

So let us guard the soil we share,

Protect its life with thoughtful care.

For when the soil is strong and free,

It gives its strength to you and me.

The soil is more than dirt below,

It is where seeds and dreams can grow.

It feeds the earth, it gives us birth,

And holds the future of our Earth.

So when you walk upon the ground,

Remember the life that lies around.

Though silent, humble, and unseen,

The soil keeps our whole world green.
