Writers
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne,
We pray only to You, humble ones, our humble hearts.
Life is hard and the world is troubled,
But we trust in You, our faithful God.
Give us our daily bread, O Lord,
Fill us with Your Word.
When there is hunger and hope is lost,
Be our help till the breaking of day.
Bear in mind the poor, the weak and the lost,
Others who are unable to tally all the expenses.
Don't let any child cry over no food,
And fill all the hearts with Your goodness.
Some have houses, but no food,
Others sleep hungry on the overcrowded street.
O God, extend Your hands and give the relief,
Convert their sadness into happiness and peace.
Give us the wisdom to share with others what we already have,
To help the needy along life's way.
Let love be stronger than covetousness and pride,
And let Your mercy lead us every day.
Give us our daily bread, not riches only,
But peace and strength will come from Thy heavenly throne.
Teach us to do Your will,
Faith to trust You at night.
Because Thou art our Shepherd, our hope and stay,
Our faithful Provider, each night and day.
Until we come at Your heavenly throne,
Give us today our daily bread and do not let us be tempted by our desires.
Amen!
