Define Your Own Success
Brian Tracy once said, "Your actual success in life starts just when you commit to becoming great at what you do."
"Success comes from knowing that you've done everything in your power to reach your maximum potential." John Wooden
“The only approach to accomplishing excellent work is to have passion for what you do. Continue seeking if you haven't yet located it. Avoid giving up.” – Steve Jobs
Like joy, success is a personal endeavor. We have been taught for a long time that achieving success is all about amassing a lot of money.
We've also unconsciously taught our children that, and they will, in turn, teach it to their offspring. You may do this using the 'View' menu and 'Full Screen Mode'.
Isn't it true that your parents encouraged you to pursue a career as a lawyer or doctor before you were old enough to identify your talents, even if you may have never heard them mention success?
What do you believe is the cause of this? The prestige of these professions may be just one factor influencing our children's subtle inclination in that direction. It is mostly the money they discover, though alluring. Despite being accomplished in their respective fields of expertise, they or their offspring are having difficulty making ends meet.
They struggle to view this as triumph.
The outcome of this sort of restricted thinking is a civilization of unhappy, depressed, or underachieving people who are trapped in careers they loathe or miserable because they are unable to ever meet the unrealistic expectations that are being forced upon them. Consider all the wealthy individuals recognised personalities who have either taken their own life or are struggling to overcome a drug addiction.
While being stable or even well off, It's common for financial success to come from a lot of diligence and hard labor, but it's not the only real indicator of achievement. You can't be genuinely satisfied with wealth if you don't truly love your work. But if you're having trouble making ends meet, it's normal to want a better life and your offspring. I would never advise you to quit trying to earn enough money to support your family. However, I must draw the line if your enjoyment and even your love for your kids are entirely dependent on money or stuff.
What truly defines success for a person, that being said? What some of the century's brightest minds have to say about the topic is shown here.
"Success is a personal standard, stretching for the greatest of ourselves, being all that we can be," says Zig Ziglar.
Stephen Hawking stated, "Regardless of how challenging life appears to be, there is always something you can do and achieve."
"Desire is the beginning of all accomplishment," stated Napoleon Hill. Each of them has their own thoughts on the limits that exist within which, as you can see.
Success is something we define. The reason for this is that
Success means something completely different to each individual. In reality, even those who have a lot of money might not think of themselves as being successful. Nevertheless, there is one constant thread running through all of these statements. Achievement
is not a coincidence. Whatever you do, you'll succeed if you put in the effort.
Simply doing enough to get by will not lead to success. Anybody can be average. In order to succeed, you must set goals.
You need to want to be first, do more, or even do better so badly that it hurts you to quit striving for these objectives. You should be welcomed by your goals, dance around in your dreams every night and every morning. No matter what difficulty you face, you'll constantly tell yourself that you can't and won't quit.
Motivation, in my opinion, is that kind of burning desire. Motivation is the power that drives us to pursue success and helps us to realize the full potential of our intellect and abilities, maintains our steady attention on and commitment to reaching our goals.
Therefore, motivation is the universal secret to success. If you don't really love what you do and aren't confident enough to believe you can perform it well, you can't have this kind of drive. That's why
So, defining success on your own terms is critical. What accomplishment do you believe is worthwhile striving for? What achievement do you hope to share with your kids and grandchildren? You should never quit trying to make these goals a reality because doing so will lead to your achievement.
Realism plays a crucial role in being motivated to succeed.
