The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Life came to me with three different faces,
The good, the bad, and the ugly in places.
Some days were bright, like the morning sun,
Some felt so heavy I wished they were done.
The good brought laughter, friendship, and peace,
Little moments that made worries cease.
A kind word spoken when I felt alone,
A helping hand, a familiar tone.
The good taught me that joy can be found
In simple things that don't make a sound.
But then came the bad, knocking at my door,
Bringing disappointments I had not seen before.
Plans fell apart, and promises broke,
Some painful words were left unspoken.
I lost a few people I thought would stay,
And learned that not everyone walks the same way.
Then there was ugly, the hardest to face,
The kind of truth that leaves an empty space.
Betrayal can hurt, and failure can sting,
Sometimes life takes away everything.
The ugly showed me the side of the night
Where even my courage struggled to fight.
Yet through it all, I continued to grow,
Learning from places I never wanted to go.
The good gave me reasons to smile again,
The bad made me wiser through trouble and pain.
The ugly taught me to value what’s true,
And to discover the strength I never knew.
Now when I look at the road behind,
I see every lesson it left in my mind.
I wouldn't erase the tears or the scars,
For even the darkest nights revealed stars.
The good, the bad, the ugly—all played their part,
Each one leaving a mark on my heart.
Life isn't perfect, and maybe that's why
We learn how to live, to fall, and to try.
So I'll welcome tomorrow, whatever it brings,
With hope in my heart and courage in my wings.
For through every season, both gentle and rough,
The journey itself is more than enough.
