The rain falls on every roof it passed over,
All the windows where the lonely eyes once watched.
Remembers laughter in the open air,
They fell silent, there were no prayers.
It recalls footprints that have fallen away on the street,
Rain softly whispered promises.
It has the tales within the earth,
The dreams which had arisen, the hearts that had fallen!
Children dancing free, the rain remembers
Going for the silver drops under an old tree.
It recalls lovers hand in hand;
Constructing castles which others could never comprehend.
It has seen the times of sorrow, it has seen the times of joy,
The shattered dreams of all young girls and boys.
Abandoned the dust of roads of the past,
But dragged away some old remembrances.
At night when the clouds weep and the dawn approaches,
Under the sky, the rain's telling stories.
Every drop is a little song of the old days,
A nice reminder, that nothing is permanent.
Rain will however not only bring yesterday with it;
It provides a second chance for the earth every day.
It is applied to wounds, and stimulates flower formation,
Changing the hearts of your students that healing can take time.
When the rain softly falls on my door,
I hear the songs it bears.
For in its rhythm, I can clearly hear
The voice of faith proclaiming, “Tomorrow is near.”
