When My heart Cries In Silence
poem

When My heart Cries In Silence

When My Heart Cries in Silence

Have you ever felt so helpless,

Wanting to help so badly,

But your hands have nothing to give,

And your heart has too much to say?

Have you ever watched someone struggle,

And wished you could make it better,

Wished you had the strength,

The money, the answers,

Anything at all to change their pain?

That is where I find myself sometimes,

Standing in the middle of everything,

With a heart willing to give,

But with nothing in my hands to offer.

And honestly,

It hurts.

It feels like my soul is crying,

But nobody hears the sound.

Like I am screaming from inside,

While the world around me

Continues as though nothing is wrong.

Sometimes,

It feels like I am drowning,

And the saddest part is knowing

That I have to find my own way out.

Today was worse.

Today,

I cried without tears.

I broke without making a sound.

I carried a heaviness

I couldn't even explain.

I wanted to be strong,

But strength became tiring.

I wanted to be okay,

But pretending became exhausting.

Sometimes I wonder,

Is being a teenager supposed to feel like this?

Because people see our age

And think our problems are small.

They see young faces

And expect laughter,

But they don't always see

The battles hiding behind our smiles.

We have dreams,

We have responsibilities,

We have people we want to help,

And expectations we desperately want to meet.

Yet sometimes,

We are the ones who need help.

I want to become someone

Who can change things.

Someone who can give,

Someone who can help,

Someone who can look at the people she loves

And say, "Don't worry, I've got you."

But right now,

Sometimes I am the one worried.

Sometimes I am the one scared.

Sometimes I am the one asking,

"When will things finally get better?"

I don't know how to explain this feeling.

I just know that

Something inside me hurts.

But maybe this pain

Is not the end of my story.

Maybe one day,

I will look back at these moments

And realize I survived them.

Maybe someday,

The things I can only wish for today

Will become things I can finally do.

Maybe my hands will have enough to give.

Maybe my heart will feel lighter.

Maybe I will finally understand

That being unable to help today

Doesn't mean I will never be able to help tomorrow.

So tonight,

Even with this heaviness inside me,

I will hold on.

Because I may feel broken,

But I am still here.

And somewhere beneath the sadness,

There is still a little hope

Whispering,

"Better days will come." ❤️
