Redemption Story – A Rough Road to the Top

Sometimes I feel life is so unfair. I feel life is partial. I feel life is so unjust to the people who don't have access to people at the top.

The experience of life has shown that a man without connections, a man without people, a man who does not have prominent people in his life, is indeed a naked man (meaning an empty man, a man who can't access anything meaningful in life), except mercy speaks for such a man.

Here comes the story of a promising young man working towards building a better future for himself and his unborn children.

A man who has done everything right from his childhood, who has made sure he does not depart from the teachings and moral lessons he learnt from his mom.

Now, a glimpse of how he lost his dad.

Alex came into this world on the day his dad was killed during a street fight.

His dad was a rogue, a street fighter, someone who engaged himself with touts and ghetto hoodlums. Although Alex's father loved his wife so much that he could go to any length just to make her happy.

But on this day, he was careless and was not sensitive enough to know his wife could put to bed that same day. Alex's father got up, left the house as usual, and there was an attack on his gang by an opposing gang. Unfortunately for him, he was killed.

Fast forward.

Alex grew up knowing only his mom, and his mom did all she could to make sure he went to school, right from nursery till university.

Life was tough, but they had no option other than to push through.

Alex had a close female friend in school, and she happened to be someone who really loved him, but she tried not to show it so as not to feel weak or inferior. She happened to be a proud girl from a rich family. Her name was Cynthia.

Fast forward to their graduation. Cynthia introduced Alex to her parents as her future husband, but Alex was so shocked to hear that. Deep down, he did not love her. She was so proud, and Cynthia only loved him because he was knowledgeable. Alex was only a nice guy with a soft and large heart.

Two years later, after their service, Alex introduced his fiancée to Cynthia, and she got upset and left.

A week later, Alex was arrested and kept awaiting trial for almost eight months.

His mom tried all she could, but nothing could be done until finally a commissioner was appointed, and Alex finally got to face the court.

Alex was charged with rape, which was strange to him and his mom. Now, there was a competent lawyer who was hired to defend him in court, and he was able to win the case because there wasn't any concrete evidence that could make him guilty as charged.

Cynthia appeared and said, "This is just the beginning of your suffering."

Apparently, Cynthia had been behind the arrest and the court case.

Fast forward.

The place where Alex worked had already replaced him, so he had to start all over again. He couldn't get a job in the state, so he moved to another state and still couldn't get a decent job.

Apparently, Cynthia had leverage on her father's connections to frustrate Alex.

Alex suffered so much that all he could wish for was death. He got so frustrated that he couldn't afford to get underwear for himself. His fiancée left him, and he got frustrated even more.

Alex had no option but to just survive. He finally got a cleaning job, which he was faithful to, and diligence came into play as well.

His boss left a huge amount of money in the office, and Alex, who was a decent and well-mannered young man, chose not to touch the money and made sure it was safe. He handed over the money to his boss the next day.

His boss was surprised and was so happy that he had finally found a trusted person to take over as Director of the company. Alex got the job and was exonerated.

Cynthia found out he got a job and was curious to know who had given him a job despite her hold on his entire life. It happened that Alex's boss was a mentor and a well-respected business tycoon in the state, even greater than her father.
