THE GLEE FOR THE GLOOM.
poem

THE GLEE FOR THE GLOOM.

THE GLEE FOR THE GLOOM.

Shattered dreams,

broken promises,

joy once dancing

now buried beneath sorrow.

Moments of glee

have learned the language of gloom,

and laughter that once filled the room

now echoes

like a forgotten song.

The past knocks loudly,

not with memories,

but with taunts.

Reminding us of where we have been,

while the future whispers

of where we could still go.

Somewhere along the way,

we lost the alignment.

We lost the sacred rhythm

of walking with the Holy Spirit.

Sin became the distance,

guilt became the wall,

and shame became the voice

telling us we were too far gone.

We forgot the fold.

We forgot the Shepherd.

We wandered from the pasture

and followed shadows

while the Light remained behind us.

Yet.....

we lost sight of Him,

but He never lost sight of us.

We wandered,

but His eyes followed.

We fell,

but His mercy remained.

We ran from His presence,

yet His love kept calling our names.

Beyond the blame

is an invitation.

Beyond the distance

is a voice.

Beyond the gloom

is a Light.

And beyond our wandering

stands the Shepherd,

still calling His sheep home.

Perhaps the story is not over and grace has not closed the book.

Perhaps beneath the ashes

there is still a spark.
