The Version Of Me That Came Out Stronger

*THE VERSION OF ME THAT CAME OUT STRONGER*

If you met me two years ago and you meet me now, you will think we are two different people. Not because my face changed, but because my mindset, my heart, and my understanding of life completely changed. The year life broke me was the same year that built me. I lost everything, but in losing everything, I found a stronger version of myself that I never knew existed.

*The Old Me*

The old me was soft and naive. I trusted people too easily. I thought everyone who laughed with me loved me. I thought money would always come and life would always be smooth. I was always trying to please everybody, even when I was hurting myself. I could not say no. If a friend asked me for money, even if it was my last money, I would give it because I wanted them to like me. I was living for validation, not for purpose. I was also very scared of failure. I never wanted people to see me struggle, so I pretended to be okay even when I was not.

*How Life Broke That Old Version*

When my business crashed, when my mother got sick, when my friends left me, when I cried that night alone in my room, the old me died. I had no choice. That old version of me could not survive that season. He was too weak for that kind of pain. There was a period of three months where I had nothing. No business, no money, no friends, almost no hope. But it was inside that nothingness that something new started growing.

I started sitting alone more. I started thinking deeper. I started reading books I never used to read. I started praying more sincerely, not just for money, but for wisdom and strength. I started learning how to be alone without feeling lonely.

*The New Me That Emerged*

Slowly, a new version of me started coming out. This new me is different.

First, this new me does not chase people. I now understand that if someone wants to stay in my life, they will stay. I no longer beg for friendship or love. I give people space to choose me or leave me.

Second, this new me knows how to say no. I can now look at someone and say "I cannot help you this time" without feeling guilty. I have learned to put myself first sometimes.

Third, this new me is not afraid of starting small. Before, I was ashamed to do small jobs. I wanted only big business. But when life broke me, I had to do delivery job, I had to help someone in their shop, I had to do things I thought I would never do. And those small jobs fed me and taught me humility.

Fourth, this new me is emotionally stronger. I still feel pain, I still cry sometimes, but I no longer allow pain to control me for days. I cry, I clean my face, and I move. I now know that tough times do not last, but tough people do.

*What I Am Proud Of Now*

Today, I am not yet where I want to be, but I am far from where I used to be. My mother is healthy now. My small business is growing again, but this time with more wisdom. I now save more, I trust less, I pray more. Most importantly, I love the new me. I love the man who can stay calm in chaos. I love the man who can lose everything and still believe that tomorrow will be better.

If you see me smiling today, it is not because life is perfect, it is because I have become stronger than the problems that tried to kill me.

*Conclusion*

Life will break everyone at some point. It is not a curse, it is part of the journey. But breaking is not the end. Breaking is how you discover the stronger version of yourself that was hiding inside you all along. The old me would not have survived what I went through, but the new me did. And if you are currently in your breaking season, please do not give up. Your stronger version is coming out. Just hold on, keep learning, keep growing. One day you will look back and say, "I am glad life broke me, because it built a better me."
